ATB scientists published an article in the scientific journal Waste Management on their research on using insects to recycle food waste.
The production of insects requires less land, water and feed than traditional animal production systems. Additionally, insects are able to recycle a large amount of food waste in a short time period, as they grow very fast - an interesting perspective for waste management.
