JEC WORLD –2024

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Christian Dreyer and Andreas Bernaschek from the Wildau University of Technology took part in the largest composite trade fair in Europe. At the joint stand of Composite United e. V. (CU) in Hall 6, the double channel demonstrator could be viewed.

Current agricultural methods for food production require a lot of agricultural land and water. Therefore, more resource-efficient cultivation methods are required in the medium term. One such concept is the use of vertical cultivation systems that can be easily integrated into urban areas (rooftops, abandoned industrial areas). In the Food4Future project we talk about the paternoster cultivation system, in which the food supply for the ever-growing world population is addressed and appropriate solutions are developed.
