The Science Festival for Climate and Health - Experience the future of agriculture!

The Transferale took place from September 25th to 27th, 2024 at silent green in Berlin-Wedding. At this event, five Berlin universities of applied sciences presented current research on climate, health, sustainability and resilience for the future of Berlin.

On September 27th, 2024, visitors were able to experience a special highlight:

With the virtual reality application of the Agricultural Systems of the Future, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the virtual world of food4future and also get to know other pioneering projects from the Agricultural Systems of the Future program. The immersive experience that can be conveyed through virtual reality makes the future directly tangible and shows how research and practice can work together to master the challenges of modern agriculture.

The team from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW) and the Leibniz Institute for Vegetable and Ornamental Plant Production (IGZ) under the leadership of Prof. Monika Schreiner and Dr. Babette Regeler is pleased that agricultural systems of the future have aroused so much interest among visitors. Together we are shaping the agriculture of tomorrow – sustainable and innovative!
