Long Night of Sciences 2024, IGZ and f4f Booth: Susann Pophal with visitors at the f4f booth

Last weekend, on June 22, 2024, around 60 scientific institutions in Berlin opened their doors and offered exciting insights into the world of science from 5 PM to midnight. Visitors had the opportunity to go behind the scenes and participate in spectacular experiments, exciting lectures, science shows, and laboratory tours.

At the House of the Leibniz Association, the crowd was again very large this year. We presented our research content at the joint booth of the Leibniz Research Network "Green Nutrition – Healthy Society." Our two booths, which we shared with the Leibniz Institute for Food Systems Biology at the Technical University of Munich (LSB) and the German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbrücke (DIfE), were consistently very well attended. The feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive; they spent a lot of time at our booths and showed great interest in our presentations. Particularly popular were the plants, the food4future snacks, and the paternoster.

In addition to delicacies from BettaFish and products from Viva Maris GmbH, we presented our algae for viewing and our f4f-paternoster. This allowed us to attract many visitors and engage in in-depth conversations about the future of our diet and food production. With the help of the exhibits, we were able to effectively convey the vision of food4future and discuss our work and research.

For those who missed it or want to revisit the impressions: Further information can be found on the LNDW channels and the LNDW website.

Experience. Understand. Know. The Long Night of Sciences 2024 was a complete success! We sincerely thank everyone for the many great conversations and the great interest in our research. Thanks also to the colleagues from the Leibniz Institute for Food Systems Biology at the Technical University of Munich and the German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbrücke for their collaboration.
